As the 2024 senior season comes to a close, the club would like to thank Tommy Donohue and his management team for their efforts this year. Going forward, Flipeadóirí Longfoirt Executive met over the weekend and are delighted to confirm clubman Conor Clarke as Bainisteoir of the senior mens team for 2025.

Conor has achieved numerous successes as player and manager for Slashers. As a player, he won a Leinster minor in 2010 and has two senior championships with Slashers in 11 and 13. In management, Conor was coach with the ladies team when they won junior and intermediate championships, moving on to manage the team to 5 senior championships in row, while most notably capturing the intermediate Leinster and All-Ireland title in 2022. Conor was also a coach on the 2019 minor team that won the minor championship for the first time since 2001.

On the announcement, Conor stated he is honoured to have gotten the job and can’t wait to get started.

U-21 Mens
Flipeadóirí Longfoirt u21 team started the 2024 campaign with a dogged performance at Clonbonny on Saturday afternoon in perfect conditions. Rathcline had all the play early in the game with Slashers staying in touch with a few well taken points until finding the net with two smart goals by Billy King and Seán Tiernan before half time. The game was evenly contested in the 2nd half until eventually Slashers gained the upper hand to take the two points after a very sporting game against a well drilled Rathcline.

Slashers panel; Darragh Caslin, Desmond Akenbor, Sean Morgan, Domas Vilys, Finn Neary, Jack Horgan, Iarla Bergin, Joe McEntire, David Masterson, Zach Coyle Clyne, James Shannon, Ryan Sheridan, Davy O Brien, Diarmaid Caslin, Sean Tiernan, Bill King, Tim Connellan, Micheál Mulcahy, Francis Nwanko.

Slashers now look forward to next Sunday 27th Oct away to Grattan Óg at 1pm.

Ladies
Storm Ashley on Sunday resulted in the Leinster quarter final Vs St. Lomans being postponed. The game will instead go ahead this evening, Tuesday at 8pm in Slashers. We wish the ladies the very best of luck and make sure to get down and support 🙏
