On Saturday evening in glorious conditions, our seniors were away to Carrickedmond in round 5 of the league. In a game that ebbed and flowed, the lead changed hands a couple of times before finishing up all square at 18 points each. This is actually the third draw of the campaign and puts us sitting at 5 points after 5 games (1 W, 3 D, 1 L).
The next outing for the seniors is on this Sunday 18th May at 12.30pm at home to Abbeylara.
The Junior squad, pictured in the main article image, kicked off their season in Div 3 away to Granard on Sunday afternoon. The good weather over the weekend led to ideal conditions with the ball moving well from both sides. However the Granard attack created and converted a number of goal chances and they ran out comfortable winners in the end.
The Juniors are out again on Friday evening 16th May at 7.45pm with a home fixture against Colmcille.
We hope to see a strong home support for both sides!

Senior Ladies
Well done to our Senior Ladies and management who came through the Gold Cup semi-final on Sunday morning against Dromard. The match finished 0-10 to 0-5.
The ladies now face Ardagh in the final this Friday night.
Minor Club
Well done to the U-12 boys who had a good win on Friday last against Northern Gaels.
The U-8 boys and girls had a great outing at a blitz in Ardagh on Thursday last and the U-7s were then in action in their first blitz in Monaduff on Monday evening. There was great numbers togged out and well done to all players and coaches!
Any parent / family member over 16 can become a coach, no experience in coaching or background in GAA is necessary. All training will be provided. The bigger the network of coaches we have, the better. There is no expectation that every coach will attend every week. There may be parents who would not be comfortable coaching but would be happy to help in other ways. There are plenty of options to volunteer; for instance put your name on the fruit rota, help on committee, help at the club shop when open for matches / events, steward at events, volunteer to supervise at the ladies club fundraising disco.
To those who already volunteer in some way, Thank You. For anyone who doesn’t but would like to help please contact Niamh MacCormaic.
