In lovely conditions for a match, the seniors were away to Mullinalaghta on Friday evening last in Div 1. Slashers kicked off the long weekend on a positive note as they came away from the The Laurels with 2 points after a tight game that was still in the balance until the final whistle.
After a break in home games, we now have two in the same week. The Juniors have had a break of a couple of weeks in Div 3, and now look forward to taking on Colmcille in the next round on Thursday night in Michael Fay park at 8.00pm.
The next game for the Div 1 side is the following evening, Friday 7th June at 8.00pm also at home against Mostrim.
As always, we'd love to see a big home turnout to cheer on the lads.
Training continues on Tuesday and Friday evenings, with Junior players and new or returning players always welcome.
Finally, best wishes to all players who will sit the Leaving Cert this week.
County Minors
Best of luck to the county minors who play Armagh in the the Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Quarter-Final on Saturday June 8th in Kingspan Breffni at 3pm. Good luck to Slashers players James Shannon, Finn Neary and Billy Maguire.
