Senior Football

Our next outing in the All-County league Div. 1 is a home game on TUESDAY 16th 8-30pm V RATHCLINE. It would be great to have a good home crowd there to support this team. Put this fixture in your diary.

The first Div 3 fixture is in the calendar for our junior squad this Saturday 20th April at 7pm at home Vs Carrickedmond. As ever we would love to see a big home crowd in Michael Fay Park.

Training continues on Tuesday and Friday evenings, with Junior players and new or returning players always welcome.

Minor County Football
Well done to the minor county boys James Shannon, Billy Maguire and Finn Neary. Despite the loss against Laois last weekend, Longford make it through from the group stage following impressive wins over Offaly and Dublin.

Set Dancing
Georgina Hourican is organising set dancing classes for boys and girls 1st - 6th Class in the Slashers clubhouse. First lesson is Tuesday 30th April, and will take place every Tuesday from 5.30-6.30pm. €3 entry, all are welcome.

County Hurlers
Well done to Longford hurlers who had a fine win V Lancashire in the Lory Meaghar Cup over the weekend with Slashers players prominent in the county colours. Looking forward to the next game in Birmingham V Warwickshire next week. Well done Díarmaid Caslin, Karl Murray, Johnny Casey, David Buckley; Micheál Mulcahy, Reuben Murray, Daire Regan and Darragh Caslin. Ar aghaidh libh!

2024 Membership
Membership is now due and it is particularly crucial for all players to pay their subscription. The refurbished gym is getting plenty of use these days and gym membership plus access is granted via the app.

Minor Club Table Quiz
A table quiz is planned for Friday 17th May at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. This is a fun family event and the entry fee is €20 for a table of 4, with spot prizes on the night! Children U-13 must be accompanied by an adult.
